At The Whiteley Clinic we have an aneurysm screening program.

Unfortunately we do not get funding from the NHS nor any other source, and so we have to charge our patients for the service. However, we insure that all of our patients:

• are interviewed by a specialist vascular nurse
  - who notes down their details and risk factors
  - who answers questions and explains the process
   

•   are scanned using a modern Duplex ultrasound
  - by one of our own highly trained vascular technologists
  - scanning both the aorta and popliteal arteries
  to check for aortic and popliteal aneurysms
   

• have the results fully explained to them by
  the specialist vascular nurse
   

• have a full report sent to their GP for their records
   

• are offered immediate referral to a specialist vascular surgeon if a problem is found
